Cosnap Host Terms (private events and weddings)
Effective Date: 26 October 2026 · Last Updated: 30 October 2026
These Host Terms apply when you create a private event on Cosnap, such as a wedding, birthday or party, and when you switch on guest uploads. They add to the Event Guest Terms (cosnap.ai/event-guest-terms) and the Cosnap User Agreement.
1. You control who's invited.
Anyone with your invite link or code can join, up to the link's limit, until it expires or you turn it off. Anyone you send it to can forward it.
You're responsible for who you share it with, for removing people who shouldn't be there, and for the roles you give (guest, contributor or co-host).
Co-hosts can do everything you can except delete the event.
2. You're responsible for what you approve.
Approving a guest photo makes it visible to every guest.
Choosing to share a set of the photographer's photos makes that set visible to every guest.
Only approve or share what you have a right to share and what is suitable for all your guests, including children.
If you switch off approval, guest photos appear straight away and you remain responsible for removing unsuitable ones promptly.
3. You'll deal with reports.
When a guest reports a photo, you're notified. Please review it promptly and hide or remove it if it breaks the Guest Terms.
You can pass any photo to Cosnap with "Report to Cosnap", which also hides it from guests until Cosnap has reviewed it.
If someone asks to be removed from a photo, or a parent asks about a photo of their child, please hide it.
Cosnap may hide or remove content, or remove guests, whatever you decide, when the law or these terms require it.
4. Telling your guests about photography.
You're responsible for letting your guests know that your event will be photographed and that photos will be shared with guests on Cosnap. A line on the invitation is a good way to do it.
Cosnap doesn't run face matching on guest photos.
5. Your photographer.
If you link a photographer, their photos stay theirs. Their license and contract with you set how photos can be used and downloaded.
You can't give guests more rights than the photographer has given you.
Notes between you and the photographer are visible only to hosts and the photographer.
6. Storage.
Photos that guests upload to your event count against your Cosnap storage allowance (5 GB on the Free plan, more on paid plans), not the guest's.
When your storage is full, guests can't upload until you free up space or upgrade. Removing guest photos frees up space.
Deleting the event deletes all guest uploads.
If you downgrade and are over your allowance, existing photos stay but no new uploads are accepted.
7. Ending the event.
Archiving stops new guests and uploads.
Deleting removes the event, its guest list and all guest uploads for everyone. It does not delete the photographer's own album.
Guests keep any copies they already downloaded.
